The evening began with a brief welcome by Phil McGoldrick and  Professor Mike Ardagh, preceeding a three-course meal. After the guests had dined Steve Collins held an auction of a range of interesting items, including sculptures, airline tickets and autographed sports t-shirts. After the auction guest speaker, and acclaimed cricketer Ricky Ponting addressed the crowd. The event sold out, and alot of fun was had by all.
